Manchester United came from behind to secure top spot in Champions League Group A with a 2-1 victory over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford this evening.

United almost opened the scoring early on as Marcus Rashford struck the post in the 4th minute while Romelu Lukaku also went close to finding the back of the net from close range.

However, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time in controversial circumstances as Chalov’s strike deflected off Dzagoev – who is offside – and in to the net but the officials allowed the goal as Daley Blind was seemingly playing him onside even though he had slid off the pitch.

United levelled things up midway through the second half when Lukaku was on hand to poke home a volley in the 64th minute following a racking pass from Paul Pogba.

The turn-around was complete just two minutes later as Rashford fired home a wonderful left-footed strike to make it 2-1 after being found by Juan Mata.

The win means United secure top spot in Group A and will hope to get a more favourable draw for the last-16 of the Champions League.
