[Video Goals] Liverpool 7-0 Spartak Moscow: Coutinho Bags Hat-Trick For Rampant Reds
Philippe Coutinho scored a hat-trick as Liverpool progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League as group winners after thrashing Spartak Moscow 7-0 at Anfield this evening.
The Reds got off to the perfect start as Coutinho made it 1-0 from the penalty spot in the 3rd minute after Mohamed Salah was bundled over in the area before the Brazilian made it 2-0 ten minutes later following a superb move.
Firmino made it 3-0 in the 18th minute with a fine finish before Sadio Mane lashed home a superb volley shortly after half time and Coutinho completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute with a deflected shot.
Mane got his second, and Liverpool’s sixth, of the night after being set-up by Daniel Sturridge and Salah completed the rout late on as he smashed in to the top corner in the 86th minute.
The result ensures Liverpool progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League as group winners with Sevilla going through in second after drawing at Maribor.
