Chelsea cemented their position in the top four after easing to a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium tonight.

The Blues got off to the perfect start as Tiemoue Bakayoko opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as the French midfielder raced on to a fine pass from Willian to slot home at the far post.

Chelsea doubled their advantage shortly before half time as Willian headed home in the 43rd minute following a deep cross from Marcos Alonso.

The defending Premier League champions were in cruise control when Pedro made it 3-0 just minutes in to the second half as the Spanish international fired a loose ball in to the top corner.

Huddersfield grabbed a late consolation through Laurent Depoitre but Chelsea held on to secure a 3-1 victory that sees them move level on points with second-placed Manchester United.
