Arsenal, Tottenham & Man Utd Lining-Up £20m Bids For German Attacker

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all lining-up £20m bids to try and sign Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Nadiem Amiri, according to reports

The January transfer window is just around the corner meaning clubs are working hard on potential deals so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, there is strong interest being shown in Nadiem Amiri…

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all lining-up £20m bids to try and sign Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Nadiem Amiri, according to The Sun.

Amiri joined the Hoffenheim youth system as a teenager in 2012 and came through the ranks before breaking in to the first team set-back two years ago.

The 21-year-old has now established himself as an important first team player under boss Julian Nagelsmann and he’s provided 4 goals and 2 assists in his 18 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The young attacking midfielder has also made his mark at international level as he was part of the German squad that won the Under-21 European championships in the summer.

It seems Amiri’s potential has caught the eye of top clubs here in England as The Sun claim Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd are all showing a keen interest in signing the youngster.

Amiri still has over two years left to run on his current contract so Hoffenheim are under no immediate pressure to sell but the newspaper says the Premier League trio are all ready to test their resolve with £20m offers in January.

We’ll have to wait and see how Hoffenheim respond if that sort of money is put on the table but Amiri would be a very useful signing for any of the clubs being linked as he’s able to play anywhere across the attacking midfield positions.

Arsenal are in the market for attacking reinforcements with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil expected to leave and it seems Arsene Wenger may have identified Amiri as a potential replacement.

United could also be eyeing the German youngster after Henrikh Mkhitaryan fell out-of-favour under Jose Mourinho and the Red Devils boss knows he needs to further strengthen his squad this winter.

Tottenham have dropped out of the top four in recent weeks so Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add to his talented young squad in January and Amiri would provide depth behind the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
