Tottenham will be looking to keep the pressure on the top four with a win when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided the latest team news and injury updates.

Unfortunately, the Spurs boss has revealed a huge fitness concern as Harry Kane is a doubt for the trip to Wales with the in-form striker currently suffering with illness.

Kane is resting at home but Pochettino says it’s not a big problem and they remain hopeful the England international will be able to return to training soon and be in contention to face Swansea next week.

Tottenham are also sweating over the fitness of Mousa Dembele as the midfielder picked up a hip/groin injury during the 5-2 win over Southampton on Boxing Day.

The Belgian international was forced off during the win at Wembley and is being assessed by club doctors to see if he’ll recover in time for the trip to the Liberty next Tuesday.

Fellow midfielder Victor Wanyama is back in full training so he could be in contention to face Swansea after finally recovering from a long-term knee injury that’s hampered him since August.

Toby Alderweireld has also stepped-up his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury with outdoor work but Pochettino will be without the centre-back until at least the end of January.

Spurs head in to the Swansea game sitting fifth in the table and just one point behind fourth-placed Liverpool so Pochettino will be desperate to keep the pressure on with another win on Tuesday night.
