Chelsea moved up to second in the Premier League table after thrashing Stoke City 5-0 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Blues got off to the perfect start as Antonio Rudiger headed home from close range following a Willian free-kick to make it 1-0 in the 3rd minute.

Danny Drinkwater then made it 2-0 just six minutes later as the midfielder fired home a superb effort from the edge of the area before Pedro found the bottom corner with a fine strike midway through the first half.

Chelsea made it 4-0 in the 73rd minute when Willian dispatched a penalty after being brought down in the area and Davide Zappacosta lashed home a loose ball late on to add some gloss to the scoreline.

The victory sees Chelsea leapfrog Manchester United in to second spot in the table ahead of their clash with Southampton this evening.
