Chelsea take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday evening. Here is a preview with the latest team news, line-ups and prediction
Chelsea will be looking to book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road this evening.
The Blues come in to the game off the back of a thrilling 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday night which means they’re unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions [W5 D2 L0].
That impressive run over the festive period has left Chelsea sitting third in the Premier League table – just one point behind Man Utd – but Antonio Conte is focussed on FA Cup matters this weekend.
The west Londoners have lifted the trophy four times in the last 11 seasons and they’ll be confident of seeing-off Norwich in the third round of the competition this year.
The Canaries sit 13th in the Championship table after winning just 3 of their last 13 games while they’ve been knocked out in the third round of the FA Cup for the last four seasons so they face a tough task today.
Chelsea welcome David Luiz back in to the squad after he recovered from a knee injury that’s restricted him to just one appearance since October and the Brazilian international is expected to start this evening.
Conte is set to rotate his starting eleven in order to give some of his key men a rest and Eden Hazard won’t be risked after picking up a calf knock against Arsenal.
The likes of Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Kenedy, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater, Willian, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi are all pushing for recalls.
Norwich on the other hand will be without Harrison Reed due to a hip problem while Marco Stiepermann is also unavailable with a groin injury.
Norwich 0-2 Chelsea: The Blues have won 20 of their last 21 FA Cup ties against lower league opposition and are unbeaten in their last 13 matches against Norwich in all competitions so Chelsea should be confident of progressing this evening. Conte is still able to field a top class side despite making plenty of changes and I think they’ll be too strong for Norwich.
Chelsea are the 1/2 favourites to win this game with the bookmakers but we can get new customers enhanced odds of 25/1 on the Blues – just click here to take advantage of these incredible odds [winning paid in free bets, max stake £1, T&C’s apply].
However, here are some other bets I like the look of:
- Both teams to score NO at: EVS – a £10 bet would return £20
- Exact score of 2-0 Chelsea win at: 13/2 – a £10 bet would return £75
- Willian to score first in a 2-0 Chelsea win at: 25/1 – a £10 bet would return £260
