3 reasons why Man City are storming to the Premier League title

Manchester City are the red hot favourites to win the Premier League this season as they currently sit 15 points ahead of second-placed Manchester United with 16 games to go. A dip in form can happen and that lead could start to disappear but it would take a monumental collapse to stop City clinching the title this season.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pep Guardiola side increase their advantage over the coming months as he’s able to field the strongest starting eleven in the division. The players are working as a unit and it’s clear they all know their jobs on the pitch inside out. Even those who don’t support City have to appreciate the football they’ve played this season.
Manchester City are the clear bookmakers favourites to win the title ahead of United and Chelsea and here are three reasons why they’ve become such a formidable force:
A more seasoned Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola was under pressure to perform this season as he endured a difficult debut campaign in England. However, the Spaniard has learned about the weakness in his squad and rectified them. They build a strong squad in the summer and the team is now playing as a cohesive unit, rather than a team of individuals. If City continue as they’ve done in recent months, they’ve march to the title. The only sensible football betting tips for today is to back City, otherwise you’ll just be throwing money away. There is a reason Guardiola’s men are the odds-on favourites with the bookmakers.
Championship winning defense
It’s often said that you need to have a solid defence to win a title and that rings true in the Premier League. Last season, City were pretty woeful at the back and it cost them. However, this year not only are they scoring goals for fun but they’ve also tighten up at the back considerably and they are reaping the rewards. The addition of Kyle Walker at right-back has been important while the emergence of Fabian Delph at left-back has been a welcome surprise. Plus, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi look like different players compared to last year so it’s no wonder City now have the best defensive record in the league.
Manchester City are known for having one of the best attacks in Europe and they are living up to their name this season after scoring an incredible 64 goals in their 22 games so far. They’ve put three past Arsenal, four past Tottenham, five past Liverpool and managed to score SEVEN against Stoke so it’s virtually impossible to stop such a formidable front line. With the likes of Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane in the side it’s no surprise to see City banging the goals in. There is no way to stop them so this is one of the main reasons they will storm to the title this season. This City team could go down in history as one of the best ever.
