Sanchez Agrees £14m-A-Year Deal With Man Utd Ahead Of Move From Arsenal
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has agreed terms with Manchester United over a four-and-a-half-year contract worth £14m-per-season AFTER tax
The January transfer window is now open so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, Alexis Sanchez has agreed terms with Man Utd….
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has agreed terms with Manchester United over a four-and-a-half-year contract worth £14m-per-season AFTER tax, according to the Telegraph.
Sanchez is widely expected to leave Arsenal this month after failing to sign a new contract and the Gunners are set to cash-in rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.
Untied emerged as favourites to secure his signature after Manchester City withdrew from the running earlier this week after refusing to match what their rivals were offering.
The Telegraph claim that Sanchez has now agreed personal terms with United over a long-term contract worth a whopping £14m-per-season after tax – which equates to around £500,000-a-week before tax.
The newspaper says the total deal will cost United around £60m given Sanchez’s transfer value is around £30m while agents fees and signing-on fees will also come to around £30m.
The proposed transfer now hinges on Henrikh Mkhitaryan agreeing terms with Arsenal after the Gunners demanded the playmaker was included in a swap deal for Sanchez.
Arsene Wenger wants to add the Armenian international to his ranks in what’s expected to be a straight swap for Sanchez but the two parties are yet to agree terms over a switch to the Emirates.
Mkhitaryan’s agent, Mino Raiola, said earlier this week that an agreement was still a long way off and the player was in no rush to make a decision over his future.
However, things can change quickly in football and if/when Mkhitaryan agrees a deal with Arsenal then we should see Sanchez complete his proposed switch to Old Trafford.
