[Photos] Sir Alex Greets Sanchez As Arsenal Star Arrives At Man Utd Training Base

The January transfer window is in full swing so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, Sanchez is on the verge of joining Man Utd…

Sir Alex Ferguson greeted Alexis Sanchez as the attacker arrived at Man Utd’s Carrington training base this morning ahead of his move from Arsenal, according to the Mirror.

Sanchez is on the verge of completing his move to United after a breakthrough in negotiations saw him say his goodbyes and leave the Arsenal hotel late on Friday night.

The Chilean international then uploaded footage of himself boarding a private jet on Sunday morning and he was soon spotted arriving at Manchester airport before being whisked away to Carrington.

The Mirror claim Sanchez completed his medical on Sunday afternoon and a photo was leaked on social media last night showing Sanchez taking a selfie on the Old Trafford pitch wearing the No.7 United shirt.

It seems the move is now on the verge of completion as Sanchez was snapped leaving the Lowry Hotel this morning and photos show his car being greeted by Sir Alex as he arrived at United’s Carrington training base.

Here are some photos courtesy of the Mirror:

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has also been photographed in London over the weekend as he gets set to complete his switch to Arsenal in a straight swap deal for Sanchez.

Sanchez and Mkhitaryan are now understood to have travelled to Liverpool’s immigration office to transfer their work permits and the moves could be officially announced later today.

So it looks like this saga is nearly over and Sanchez will soon be a United player while Mkhitaryan will head to Arsenal in the opposite direction and I actually think both clubs have done very well out of the deal.
