£23m Arsenal Target Wants To Join Tottenham To Work Under Pochettino

The January transfer window is in full swing so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, Lucas Moura wants to join Tottenham…

Arsenal target Lucas Moura wants to join Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to sell the winger if £23m is put on the table this month, according to Sky Sports.

Moura has been told he’s free to leave the Parc des Prince after struggling to force his way in to Unai Emery’s side this season with the winger yet to start a Ligue 1 game this campaign.

The Brazilian international is behind a number of world class attackers such as Neymar, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria in the pecking order so it’s no surprise he’s eyeing a move ahead of the World Cup.

Moura’s situation has alerted several clubs throughout Europe while the Express claimed earlier this week that Arsenal and Tottenham have held talks with PSG about signing him this month.

Arsene Wenger completed a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Monday but the Gunners boss is still in the market for further attacking reinforcements following Theo Walcott’s move to Everton.

However, Arsenal could be disappointed in their pursuit of Moura as Sky Sports sources claim the South American attacker wants to join Tottenham as he believes Mauricio Pochettino is the right man to get his career back on track.

Spurs are looking to further strengthen their attacking options before the end of the month and Moura could be a much cheaper alternative to Malcom – who’s also been strongly linked in recent weeks.

Sky Sports claim Bordeaux want £45m for Malcom’s signature whereas PSG are ready to sell Moura for just £23m so Tottenham could bag an absolute bargain if they can get a deal done this month.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but I think it would be a shrewd piece of business by Tottenham if they could land Moura for just £23m before the window slams shut.
