Chelsea Team News: Conte Confirms Double Boost But Trio Ruled Out Of Bournemouth Game

Antonio Conte has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Bournemouth but three other players have been ruled out

Chelsea will be looking to cement their position in the top four with another win when they take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening.

Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered the latest team news and injury update ahead of the game.

The Blues boss confirmed a double boost with the news that Thibaut Courtois and Cesc Fabregas are back in contention for the game tomorrow night after recovering from injury,

Courtois has missed the last three games with an ankle injury while Fabregas has been sidelined by a hamstring problem but both players are available for selection to face Bournemouth.

However, there was also some bad news to bring us as Conte revealed that striker Alvaro Morata remains sidelined by a back injury that’s hampered him in recent weeks.

Willian is also still recovering from a hamstring injury that he picked up during the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal last week so Conte has limited options in attack.

The Chelsea boss will also have to make-do without David Luiz as the out-of-favour centre-back is still nursing an ankle injury that he picked up  in training before the Newcastle game at the weekend.

Striker Michy Batshuayi has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this month but Conte insists the Belgian international remains available for selection against Bournemouth.

Chelsea head in to the midweek action sitting third in the Premier League table – three points behind Man Utd – but they will also be wanting to put more distance between themselves and fifth-placed Tottenham with a win tomorrow night.
