Arsenal will be looking to get their top four push back on track when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this evening.

Arsene Wenger has decided to start new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the bench as Alex Iwobi keeps his place alongside Mesut Ozil in attack while Alexandre Lacazettte once again starts up front.

Olivier Giroud is named on the bench despite reports suggesting he’s on his way to joining Chelsea while Petr Cech returns in goal with David Ospina making way.

Jack Wilshere has been ruled out through illness so Aaron Ramsey gets a recall in midfield alongside Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Fabianski, Naughton, Van der Hoorn, Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson, Dyer, Fer, Ki, Clucas, Ayew.

Subs: Nordfelt, Batley, Carroll, Routledge, Narsingh, Bony, Abraham.

Cech, Koscielny, Elneny, Mustafi, Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Monreal, Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette.

Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Mkhitaryan, Nketiah, Giroud

The acquisition of Aubameyang will fortify Arsenal attack. I think Aubameyang and Lacazette can play together with Lacazette partnering Aubameyang in the attack formation of 4-3-1-2. This will allow Arsenal to play in the middle of the field with ability to curtail any counter attack. However, there is need to reinforce the defence line as most of the defenders are ageing.
