It was another day to forget away from home for Arsenal as some shocking defensive mistakes led to a 3-1 defeat to Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea started the better of the two sides but it was Arsenal who broke the deadlock as Nacho Monreal poked home at the far post after being found y a superb ball from Mesut Ozil in the 33rd minute.

However, our lead didn’t last long as some shocking defending allowed Samuel Clucas to burst through the defence and slot past Petr Cech to make it 1-1 in the 34th minute.

Swansea then took the lead midway through the second half as Cech completely fluffed a simple back-pass from Shkodran Mustafi and Jordan Ayew took full advantage to make it 2-1.

We pushed to find an equaliser but all hope of getting back in to the game was over when more shocking defending from Monreal and Mustafi led to Clucas slamming home Swansea’s third in the 87th minute.

It was a horror display from Arsenal throughout the entire ninety minutes and with Liverpool winning tonight it leaves us sitting eight points adrift of the top four.
