Liverpool will be desperate to cement their place in the top four with a win when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp has recalled Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the starting eleven as he lines-up alongside Gini Wijnaldum and Emre Can in the middle of the park.

Virgil van Dijk faces his former side for the first time since moving to Anfield last month as the Dutchman is joined by Joel Matip, Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson in defence.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah once again support Roberto Firmino in attack with Adam Lallana named among the substitutes.
