Mourinho Demands Man Utd Sign Midfielder Ahead Of Arsenal, Liverpool & City

By on February 12, 2018

The January transfer window in now closed so it’s time to look at those deals that didn’t get over the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, Man Utd enter the race for Isco…

Jose Mourinho has informed Manchester United bosses he wants to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco but they’ll face stiff competition from their rivals, according to reports in Spain via the Express.

Isco earned a dream move to Madrid in 2013 after impressing during his time at Malaga and he’s helped Los Blancos win a whole host of honours including 1 La Liga title and 3 Champions Leagues.

The 25-year-old is enjoying a solid campaign having scored 5 goals and provided a further 4 assists in 19 league games despite Madrid enduring a difficult season that sees them trail Barcelona by 17 points.

However, Madrid boss Zinadine Zidane is set to revamp his struggling squad this summer and Isco has been touted in the media as one of the players who will be sacrificed.

A move to the Premier League could be on the cards and the Express reported last week that Arsenal and Liverpool were among the clubs showing a keen interest in signing the Spanish international.

Arsene Wenger is expected to further strengthen his options this summer after another difficult campaign while Jurgen Klopp has seemingly identified Isco as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona.

However, it looks like the duo have plenty of competition as the Express are now citing a report from Don Balon that claims Mourinho has told United bosses he wants to sign Isco to prevent him joining Man City.

The report says Pep Guardiola would like to add Isco to his array of attacking talent but Mourinho has pleaded with United chiefs to do their best to lure the Spaniard to Old Trafford.

Mourinho signed Alexis Sanchez ahead of their rivals in January and it seems he’s desperate to do so again with Isco as he looks to add a creative midfielder to play alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic next season.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but there is no doubt Isco would be a sensational signing if Arsenal, Liverpool, United or City were able to lure him to England this summer.

Well thats not going to happen unless another swap deal can be arranged. MU have already declared a trading loss of £190 million in the last accounts so money is tight. No very tight.
