[Video Goals] Arsenal 1-2 Ostersunds: Poor Gunners Through Despite Shock Defeat

By on February 22, 2018

Arsenal slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat to Ostersunds at the Emirates tonight but still advance to the last 16 of the Europa League 4-2 on aggregate.

We made a disastrous start as the visitors took a shock lead in the 22nd minute when Calum Chambers could only poke the ball in to his own net from an Aiesh shot.

If that was bad, it got a lot worse just 70 seconds later as Sema twisted Chambers in to a knot before firing in to David Ospina’s far corner for 2-0 and 3-2 on aggregate.

We finally turned up for the game after the break and pulled it back to 1-2 in the 47th minute when Sead Kolasinac lashed home from a Hector Bellerin cross to the far post.

Danny Welbeck missed two excellent opportunities to level things up but we couldn’t find the equaliser so slumped to an embarrassing defeat but still book our place in the draw for the last-16 4-2 on aggregate.
