Transfer Talk: £94m Star Ready To Join Arsenal On This One Condition
Ousmane Dembele is prepared to quit Barcelona and make a big-money move to Arsenal if the Catalans sign Antoine Griezmann this summer
The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Ousmane Dembele is ready to join Arsenal….
Ousmane Dembele is prepared to quit Barcelona and make a big-money move to Arsenal if the Catalans sign Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to TeamTalk.
Dembele made his name in Germany during a spell at Borussia Dortmund before joining Barca in a £94m move last summer but his time in Spain hasn’t gone according to plan.
The 20-year-old has managed to start just four games due to a serious thigh injury which sidelined him during the first half of the season and he’s struggled to regain his starting spot since returning to fitness.
Dembele’s situation has seemingly alerted Arsenal as Calciomercato reported last month that the attacker has been identified as a key summer transfer target for Arsene Wenger.
It appears we’re hoping to reunite the French international with former team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the Emirates next season and it looks like we’ve now been handed a boost.
TeamTalk are citing a report from Don Balon that claims Dembele is growing increasingly frustrated with life at Barcelona and is ready to join Arsenal should Griezmann arrive from Atletico Madrid this summer.
Widespread reports in recent months have suggested that Griezmann is set for a move to the Nou Camp at the end of the season and it seems Dembele is concerned he’ll fall further down the pecking order.
It will be interesting to see how things develop over the coming months but Barca are reportedly strapped for cash so they could be tempted to cash-in on Dembele in order to help fund their swoop for Griezmann.

Dembele showed huge potential at Dortmund and although his time in Spain has been frustrating, I’d still love to see us bring him to north London but I can’t see us paying anywhere near the £94m Barca spent on him last summer.
