The draw for the Europa League quarter finals was conducted this afternoon and Arsenal have been drawn to face Russian outfit CSKA Moscow.

We booked our place in the last eight after beating AC Milan 3-1 at the Emirates last night which saw us progress 5-1 on aggregate following our win in Italy last week.

The team everyone wanted to avoid was favourites Atletico Madrid and thankfully we managed to do so as they’ve been drawn to face Sporting Lisbon.

However, Arsene Wenger will now take on CSKA Moscow in the quarter finals after they booked their place in the last eight with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Lyon.

We’ll welcome CSKA to the Emirates on the 5th April before heading to Russia the following week for the second leg and I’m sure Wenger will be confident of progressing to the semi finals.

Elsewhere, RB Leipzig will take on Marseille and Lazio face RB Salzburg so it looks like the four favourites for the competition all avoided each other.
