South American Star Ready To Force Through £55m Move To Man Utd

The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Fabinho wants to join Man Utd…

Fabinho has decided he wants to join Manchester United and is ready to force through a potential £55m switch from Monaco this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.

Fabinho made his name as a right-back but excelled after being converted in to a holding midfielder and he played a key role in helping Monaco win the Ligue 1 title last season.

The 24-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer but Monaco refused to sell any more of their key players after losing the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy.

However, it seems Fabinho is now determined to get his big-money move and the Mirror are citing a report from the Sun that claims the midfielder has decided he wants to join Man Utd.

The newspaper says Fabinho has made United his first choice destination this summer and is ready to force through a deal that will cost the Manchester giants around £55m.

Jose Mourinho is expected to be in the market for a new midfielder as Michael Carrick will retire in June while Marouane Fellaini is being tipped to leave as he’s yet to agree terms over a new contract.

The Mirror claim that Mourinho sees Fabinho as the ideal addition to his midfield ranks so the United boss is ready to push ahead with his pursuit of the South American star.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress but United obviously have the money to meet Monaco’s reported £55m asking price and Fabinho is seemingly keen on the move, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Brazilian international head to Old Trafford this summer.
