Manchester United could sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for £130m this summer after Lazio named their price for the sought-after midfielder, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio from Genk in 2015 and has developed in to one of the most exciting young midfielders in European football having established himself as a first team regular.
The 23-year-old has provided 11 goals and 7 assists in his 40 appearances in all competitions this season to help Simone Inzaghi’s side challenge for a Champions League qualification spot.
The youngster has also broken in to the Serbian national team and Milinkovic-Savic’s impressive form has caught the attention of several top European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
TeamTalk are citing a report from Sport Mediaset that claims Manchester United are showing a keen interest in signing the midfielder after identifying him as a prime transfer target.
Jose Mourinho is expected to sign at least one central midfielder as Michael Carrick will retire in June while Marouane Fellaini is set to leave after failing to agree terms over a new contract.
Milinkovic-Savic is a midfielder who likes to get forward and support the attacks much like Paul Pogba so his arrival may cast doubt over the French international’s future amid reports he’s unsettled at Old Trafford.
However, United aren’t the only team in the race for his signature as Sport Mediaset, via TeamTalk, says Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Milinkovic-Savic.
A fierce battle between Europe’s heavy-weights could ensure but Lazio aren’t going to let their wonderkid leave on the cheap as the Italian publication says the Serie A club have told interested parties they want £130m for Milinkovic-Savic’s signature.

That would represent a club record fee for United and they’re one of the few clubs in the world who could afford to meet Lazio’s reported asking price but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will be prepared to pay such a figure this summer.
