The draw for the semi-finals of the Champions League has been conducted this afternoon and Liverpool have been drawn to face AS Roma.

The Merseysiders produced two magnificent performances to beat Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate after winning the second leg 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have now been pitted against Roma after they staged a sensational comeback to beat Barcelona on away goals after winning the second leg 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Liverpool will play at home in the first leg on April 24th/25th, with a trip to Rome for the second leg on May 1st/2nd and the Reds should be delighted with the draw.

In the second semi-final Bayern Munich will host Real Madrid in the first leg before travelling to Spain for the decisive second leg the following week.

Madrid booked their place in the semi-finals thanks to a dramatic last minute penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo to secure a 4-3 aggregate win over Juventus while Munich beat Sevilla 2-1.

It was the perfect draw for Liverpool and they should be confident of seeing-off Roma over two legs to book their place in the final where they’ll face-off against either Madrid or Bayern.
