Arsenal blew West Ham away with a late flurry of goals with Alexandre Lacazette netting twice to seal a 4-1 victory at the Emirates this afternoon.

It was a slow start to the game with both sides struggling to find any fluency in their play so it was no surprise the game was all square at 0-0 at half time.

However, we started brightly in the second half and opened the scoring in the 51st minute as Nacho Monreal volleyed home from a Granit Xhaka corner to make it 1-0.

West Ham got themselves back in the game as Mark Arnautovic lashed home a wonderful left-footed finish to make it 1-1 in the 64th minute following some sloppy defending.

However, we restored our lead in the 82nd minute when Aaron Ramsey’s cross missed everyone and ended up in the back of Joe Hart’s net to make it 2-1 to the Arsenal.

We sealed the three points just a few minutes later as Alexandre Lacazette fired home via a deflection after some good work involving Danny Welbeck and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Lacazette grabbed a late fourth as he scored from close range following a great run from Ramsey to seal a 4-1 win that sees us move four points clear of Burnley with a game in hand.
