Arsenal Could Sign 22-Goal Attacker In £35m Deal This Summer

Arsenal are ready to battle it out with AC Milan over a potential £35m deal to sign Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir this summer, according to reports

The transfer window may be closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are linked with Nabil Fekir…

Arsenal are ready to battle it out with AC Milan over a potential £35m deal to sign Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir this summer, according to a report by Calciomercato.

We still don’t know who’ll be replacing Arsene Wenger at the end of the season but Sven Mislintat is still pressing ahead with our summer transfer business and it seems Fekir has emerged as a prime target.

The French international has developed in to one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe since joining Lyon from Saint-Priest in 2013 and he’s expected to be going to the World Cup with his country this summer.

Fekir has provided 22 goals and a further 7 assists in his 37 appearances in all competitions this season making him one of the most prolific attackers in European football.

That impressive form has attracted interest from Arsenal and CalcioMercato are citing a report from Football365 that claims we’re ready to try and lure Fekir to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

However, we will face still competition from AC Milan as the report says the Italian giants are also keen to sign the 24-year-old as the Rossoneri look to build a squad capable of challenging Juve’s dominance in Serie A.

Fekir’s current contract has two years left to run so Lyon may decide to cash-in this summer before his value starts to drop and the report says the attacker will be available for around £35m.

That seems like a very reasonable deal in today’s market for a player of Fekir’s quality so I can understand why Arsenal are showing a keen interest in bringing him to north London.

Fekir is predominantly a central attacking midfielder but he can play through the middle or even out wide so he’d give our new manager plenty of options in the final third if we manage to beat AC Milan to his signature.
