Arsenal have been handed a triple boost with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Sead Kolasinac and Alex Iwobi taking part in full training today ahead of our trip to Atletico Madrid.

The trio were considered as doubts for our Europa League second leg clash after picking up knocks during the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Mkhitaryan returned to the starting eleven following five games out and scored against his former club at the weekend but was forced off after being kicked on the knee in the second half.

Kolasinac also limped off midway through the second period after suffering an ankle injury while Iwobi finished the game limping after straining his hamstring during the closing stages of the defeat.

Boss Arsene Wenger admitted after the United game on Sunday that the likes of Mkhitaryan, Iwobi and Kolasinac would need to be assessed ahead of the Madrid game.

However, it looks like they’ve all been passed fit as the trio were able to take part in full training at London Colney this afternoon and are expected to be on the plane to Madrid ahead of tomorrow’s crucial tie.

There was more positive team news as David Ospina also trained today after making a swift recovery from a rib problem that he picked up against United on Sunday.

Obviously this news comes as a big boost as we head to Spain ruing our missed opportunity to put one foot in the final having been held to a hugely frustrating 1-1 draw by a Madrid side that played 80 minutes of the first leg with 10-men.
