The transfer window may be closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool are linked with Christian Pulisic…

Liverpool are ready to launch a £53m bid to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his attack this summer, according to the Express.

Pulisic has developed in to one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe since breaking in to the Dortmund first team following his move from PA Classics in 2015.

The 19-year-old is now an important member of the starting eleven having made 40 appearances in all competitions so far this season while he’s also got 9 goals in 20 caps for the United States national team.

His impressive form has attracted interest from the Premier League and the Express claim that Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked with the teenage sensation in recent months.

However, it looks like Liverpool are ready to formalise their interest as the Express is citing a report from Bild that claims the Merseysiders are ready to launch a £53m bid to sign Pulisic this summer.

Jurgen Klopp knows the American well from their time together at Dortmund and he handed Pulisic his debut at the German giants before joining Liverpool three years ago.

The Reds boss is in the market for another attacking midfielder as he failed to sign a replacement for Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona in January and it seems Pulisic is firmly on his radar.

However, Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has played down the reports by saying that although he’s in constant contact with Klopp, he knows nothing about an offer for Pulisic.

Zorc is quoted as saying by the Express:

“I’m in constant contact with Jurgen Klopp. But I know nothing about that.”

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but Pulisic looks to have a huge future ahead of him and I think he’d be a superb signing for Liverpool if they could pull if off.

The teenager is able to play on either wing or through the middle so he’d give Klopp plenty of options if he does end up joining Liverpool this summer but there is still a long way to go yet before a deal is completed.
