The summer transfer window is fast approaching and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea are linked with Benjamin Henrichs…

Chelsea are ready to trump Manchester United and Tottenham by launching a £31m bid to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Benjamin Henrichs this summer, according to Football London.

Henrichs has been on Leverkusen’s books his entire career having progressed through the youth ranks before breaking in to the first team in 2015 and the youngster is now established himself as a regular.

The 21-year-old has made 28 appearances so far this campaign following on from the 37 appearances he made last season while he’s also earned 3 caps for the German national team.

His potential has caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League as Football London claim that Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have expressed their interest this term.

Jose Mourinho is expected to strengthen his full-backs this summer as Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are coming towards the end of their careers and Henrichs is seemingly on his radar.

Mauricio Pochettino is also being tipped to sign another full-back at the end of the season amid speculation that Danny Rose is set for a move and Tottenham are also being linked with Henrichs.

However, it looks like Chelsea are ready to steal a march on their rivals as Football London are reporting that the Blues are set to table a £31m bid that would meet the defenders release clause.

Despite doubts over his future, Antonio Conte is still pressing ahead with his transfer business and the versatile Henrichs would be a very useful addition if Chelsea could lure him to west London.

The youngster is predominantly a right-back but he’s capable of playing anywhere across the back four so the German youngster would give Conte plenty of options if he moves to Stamford Bridge this summer.

There is obviously still time for United or Spurs to step-up their interest but it seems Chelsea are moving in to pole position as I think Henrichs would be an excellent signing for the Blues.

seems to me conte is going nowhere – best possible solution.
time to give him what he needs.
he can be given full control over the transfer business and still work on a budget
