[Video Highlights] Huddersfield 0-1 Arsenal: Aubameyang Sends Wenger Off With A Win

By on May 13, 2018

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game to send Arsene Wenger off with a narrow 1-0 victory over Huddersfield at the John Smiths Stadium.

Huddersfield started the brighter of the two sides but Arsenal grew in to the game and opened the scoring with a fine team goal shortly before half-time.

A flowing move involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alexandre Lacazette and Aaron Ramsey led to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sliding home at the far post in the 38th minute to make it 1-0.

Huddersfield were dangerous after the break while Lacazette and substitute Danny Welbeck both had great chances to finish the game but they were denied by the goalkeeper.

The hosts continued to push for an equaliser and Arsenal had David Ospina to thank for the three points as he made a last gasp save in stoppage time to secure the three points.

The victory means Arsenal finally pick up a win away from home in 2018 but more importantly it sends Arsene Wenger off with a win.
