Manchester United will be looking to end the season with a piece of silverware when they take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley tomorrow.

Jose Mourinho has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered a team news and injury update ahead of the game.

The United boss confirmed a boost with the news that Anthony Martial has been passed fit to return to the squad after recovering from knee injury that kept him out of the win over Watford.

Martial suffered the problem in training ahead of the Premier League finale but it seem the attacker has made a swift recovery and will be in contention to face Chelsea tomorrow evening.

However, the news isn’t quite so conclusive on Romelu Lukaku as Mourinho says the Belgian international remains a doubt to face his former side as he continues to recover from an ankle problem.

Lukaku sustained the injury against Arsenal last month and missed United’s final three league games after travelling back to Belgium to undergo intensive treatment.

The striker returned to United’s Carrington training base on Tuesday and has been working on his fitness in recent days but Mourinho says they’ll have to make a last minute decision over his availability for the FA Cup final.

Mourinho told ManUtd.com:

“Martial is fit and Lukaku we have to wait until the last moment. I don’t want to lie to you and say he doesn’t play and then he plays or vice versa, so [on] Lukaku, we have to wait.”

Elsewhere, Marouane Fellaini should be in contention for a place in the squad after recovering from a muscle injury that kept him out of the last two games but Michael Carrick won’t be involved having made his final appearance against Watford before retiring.
