FA Cup Final: Chelsea vs Man Utd | Team News | Expected XI’s | Prediction | Betting
Man Utd take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley this evening Here is a preview with the latest team news, line-ups and prediction
Chelsea and Manchester United will contest the 2017/18 FA Cup final at Wembley this evening.
United finished second in the Premier League but it was largely a frustrating campaign as they ended-up a distant 19-points adrift of run-away champions Manchester City.
The Red Devils also crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage so Jose Mourinho is under pressure to win the FA Cup and prevent this season being deemed a failure.
Antonio Conte is also feeling the heat amid on-going speculation the Italian boss will leave Chelsea this summer after missing out on Champions League qualification.
Conte still has another year left to run on his contract but even victory today might not be enough to see him remain in charge next season as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich seems determined to make yet another managerial change.
The Blues will continue to be without David Luiz due to a long-term knee injury while Emerson Palmieri has been ruled out with a muscle injury.
Willy Caballero has played in every round of the FA Cup so far this season but Conte is being tipped to start Thibaut Courtois between the sticks today.
United will hand a late fitness test to Romelu Lukaku as the striker bids to return from an ankle injury that’s kept him out for the last three matches.
Anthony Martial has been passed fit after missing the win over Watford last week with a minor knee injury. David De Gea will start in goal with Sergio Romero missing out.
Chelsea 1-2 Man Utd: United are bidding to win the FA Cup for a record-equalling 13th time while Chelsea will be looking to make-up for losing last years final to Arsenal. Both sides come in to the match in decent form but I think United have the edge. Mourinho just knows how to win these games and I have a feeling the Reds will take it with a narrow 2-1 win.
The bookmakers make United the very slight favourites to win the game but we can get new customers enhanced odds of 50/1 on United or 60/1 on Chelsea – just click here to take advantage of these incredible odds.
Here are some other bets I like the look of:
- Both teams to score at: EVS – a £10 bet would return £20
- Exact score of 2-1 United win at: 10/1 – a £10 bet would return £110
- Sanchez to score first in a 2-1 United win at: 40/1 – a £10 bet would return £410
