Here is our match preview ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League final clash with Real Madrid including team news, expected line-ups and predicted score

Liverpool face their date with destiny when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev this evening.

The Reds booked their place in the final thanks to a thrilling 7-6 aggregate victory over AS Roma in the semi-finals but they now face the ultimate test against the reigning European champions.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are looking to win their fourth Champions League in just five seasons having won it in 2014, 2016 and 2017 taking their tally to an incredible 12 European cups.

Obviously Liverpool also have a rich history in the competition themselves having won their fifth European trophy with a stunning comeback win over AC Milan back in 2005.

Tonight’s game will see two of Europe’s most potent attacks face-off against each-other so we should hopefully be in for an entertaining final in Kiev.

Team News

Liverpool have been boosted by the return to fitness of Emre Can as he’s back in contention after recovering from a back injury that’s kept him out for the last two months.

However, the German international may have to settle for a place on the bench as James Milner is also fit after missing the final Premier League game against Brighton with a muscle problem.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez remain long-term absentees for the Merseysiders but the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are all fit to start.

As for Madrid, they have a fully fit squad to choose from after Cristiano Ronaldo recovered from a muscle issue so Zidane’s big decision is who will join the Portuguese super-star in attack.

Expected line-ups

Predicted Score

Real Madrid 3-2 Liverpool: The Reds have the ability to cause Madrid plenty of problems going forward and there should be goals tonight between arguably the best two attacking teams in Europe. On paper, Madrid have the better side but Liverpool’s team spirit and attitude under Jurgen Klopp is priceless. It should be an enthralling game but I think Madrid will just have too much in the end. They always seem to find a way to win this competition.

Betting Tips

Madrid are the 23/20 favourites with the bookmakers to win tonight but we need to find more value if we want to make some real money. You can get more betting tips at http://betmeister.net/ but I like the look of both teams to score at 2/5 as Liverpool and Madrid are two of the most attacking teams in Europe. I fancy Madrid to edge it and my predicted scored of 3-2 is available at 14/1. If we add Ronaldo as the first scorer in a 3-2 Madrid win we get tempting odds of 28/1.
