Tottenham are ready to join Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s £50m-rated attacker Christian Pulisic this summer, according to the Telegraph.
Pulisic has developed into one of the most highly-rated young attackers in Europe having established himself as a key player since joining Dortmund from PA Classics in 2015.
The 19-year-old made 42 appearances in all competitions last season – scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists – while he’s also got 20 caps to his name for the United States national team.
The teenagers potential has caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League with the Telegraph reporting Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs to have registered their interest.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to add depth to his attack ahead of next season while Chelsea are also in the market for another attacker amid doubts over the future of Willian and Pulisic has been strongly linked with both clubs in recent months.
However, it looks like Liverpool and Chelsea will now face fresh competition as the Telegraph claim Tottenham are ready to turn their attention to Pulisic as an alternative to Ryan Sessegnon.
Mauricio Pochettino wants to add another attacker to his ranks and Spurs have been tracking Sessegnon for some time but the England youngster seems set to stay at Fulham following their promotion to the Premier League.
Therefore, the newspaper report says Pochettino is looking for alternatives and is ready to go after Pulisic as he’s a huge admirer of the Dortmund attacker.
The youngster has two years left on his contract and has shown no sign of penning an extension so the report suggests Dortmund may cash-in if a club puts £50m on the table this summer.
Pulisic is predominantly a right-winger but he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so he’d be a very useful asset for Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea if any one of those clubs could lure him to England.
