Arsenal Agree Terms To Sign Barcelona Target As Emery Prepares To Unveil 1st Signing

Arsenal have agreed a three-year contract to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yacine Adli as Unai Emery prepares to unveil his first summer signing

The summer transfer window is now open and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are linked with Yacine Adli…

Arsenal have agreed terms over a three-year contract to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yacine Adli as Unai Emery prepares to unveil his first summer signing, according to ESPN.

Adli has been with PSG his entire career having joined the clubs youth system in 2013 and he’s progressed through the ranks to become one of the most highly-rated youngsters in French football.

The 17-year-old has represented his country at several youth levels and was handed his senior PSG debut by Emery with a substitute appearance during the draw at Caen earlier this month.

His potential has caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs with ESPN claiming that Arsenal, Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all expressed their interest in signing him.

The news outlet says Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has been tracking Adli progress in recent months but the teenager was expected to sign professional terms at the Parc des Princes.

However, Adli has stunned PSG by turning down their lucrative offer in order to join Arsenal with ESPN claiming that Emery has played a key role in luring the midfielder to the Emirates.

The report says Adli has agreed terms over an initial three-year contract worth LESS than what was offered by PSG while the deal is also believed to include the option to extend the contract by a further two years.

PSG have been desperately trying to tie Adli down to a long-term deal but he had concerns over breaking in to their side and it appears Emery and Mislintat have promised the youngster an easier route to the first team at Arsenal.

The French U18 international is now expected to be unveiled as Emery’s first signing since arriving as our new boss and it’s something of a coup for Arsenal to have landed Adli ahead of the likes of Barca, City and PSG.
