Arsenal: Tough Times Are Just Around The Corner

arsenal news

Alright, let’s have a look at what are the things to come. We start of February with a Home game to Everton. Now Everton may be 13th, but we all know that it is not going to be a stroll in the park for us. The team has to be alert and clinical to get all 3 points from the Toffees so lets just hope they do.

3 days later its a visit to the Toon. Now Newcastle is not going to be the same team which we beat 4-1 in the Carling Cup. They have a new manager and did manage to get a point of Spuds, so we must be cautious.

After the Toon we do have 1 week off, or rather 6 days, and then its Wolves at Home. Wolves are not in very good form, but you just can’t say anything in football can you? I mean, could you ever think that West ham would beat United 4-0 in the Carling Cup?

After that we start the 2nd phase of the Uefa Champions League, hosting FC Barcelona at the Emirates. I guess I should leave it here, and not write too much about this game at this point…

After Barcelona it’s a provisional period for us in which we may or may not have to play games. This is because it depends on a result against Huddersfield Town in January. Now you may get confused here so let me make this clear:

If we beat Huddersfield Town, then we shall have to play 2 days after our encounter with Barca and that shall be the “5th Round of The FA Cup.“ If we draw with Huddersfield Town then we shall still have to play 2 days after Barca, but that shall be the replay of the 4th round of the FA Cup. If we lose to Huddersfield Town then the next match after Barca which is on the 16th of February shall be against Stoke at the Emirates on the 22nd of February.

After that we reach the 27th of February – The day on which the Carling Cup Final shall be held. Getting through this month will not at all be easy, and I actually feel stupid in telling you Gooners out there as I know you guys know the same. We are title contenders, and to be Champions we have got to get through this….

Oh please preseve me from Arsenal fans.
We are in the League Cup (refuse to call it carling cup), still in the FA Cup, 3 rd in the EPL and playing Barcelona in the Champions League. This should be enough for the moment.

Yes Barcelona are a Good/Great team, and if we played them 100 times we probably only win 40 times, so lets hang on to that hope, and lets not stop believing. Lets enjoy it.

Fully agree with Surrey Gunner, lets enjoy what’s coming up. We are in the best position out of any team in England with our 4 possible prizes and we face difficult games throughout the whole of the season.
One thing I believe, is we can beat Barca when we are at our best and if that happens, we will have the confidence to go on and win the competition and more!

Everyone is goin on bt Barca but to be honest, they don’t expect a stroll. Why is it that some Gooners feel their team is too weak to beat some others? Ur a disgrace to ur team.
This Arsenal team might not have the class of 2004, bt they r as good as any team u’ll find, including Barcelona.

It’s better than you thought ‘Surrey Gunner’. We are actually 2nd in the EPL.

Thmbs up wilo and Surrey Guna, i know we hav difficult games ahead but that is the stuf champions are made of. if barca really want to stuff us then they can bring it on. but they can be sure we would not be lieng around waiting for that to happe. this month i expect three things. 1)get all 3 points from all our epl games, 2) Beat the all too glorified Barca 3) win the Leagu cup., need i add also giv L’orient a drubbing lessing
