Arsenal vs Huddersfield: Preview & Preferred Line-up

arsenal news

Arsenal take on Huddersfield this weekend at the Emirates. Now I know everyone thinks this is going to be a routine win, but lets just not carried away too much.

Injury News:

Tomas Rosicky (illness) and Almunia may be back in the squad. SQ18 and Abou Diaby are back & as for the rest of the players i.e Tommy-V, Luke, Almunia & Frimpong, they are still out.

“Squillaci and Diaby will be in a squad, the only uncertainty I have is Rosicky. I don’t know if he’ll be fit or not. He was really sick.

“Almunia has a chance, Fabianski no and for Vermaelen we need to be patient.

“Sagna is as good as you can be. Yesterday he was at home and he still had a little bit of a headache. All the examinations made at the hospital were clean. He should be available for Sunday. If not Sunday then Tuesday. It is just a concussion.”

Probable Line-Up :

Subs: Shea, Clichy, Sagna, Song, Nasri, Theo, Cesc, RVP, Jack*

Final thoughts:

Now there is no rule that because we beat the last ‘Town’ 3-0 that we are going to do the same thing here. The problem is complacency and all we have to do is not be complacent. We are favourites to go through so let’s do it in a ‘calm and patient’ manner. Rosicky may or may not play. Incase he does not play, I guess Nasri will.

Guns Out,

I think Theo and Nasri would probably get a start on this one, as they only got 10 mins against Ipswich. Either way, if Arsenal play well, they win.

I agree… I see Nasri starting as Captain like he did against Leeds…. unless Almunia plays which means he will probably be captain.

agree with the line-up…think it’s best we rest as many of our best 11 as possible.
get nasri off as soon as we can.

Good to see Rosicky might be back, expect him to set up a couple if he starts and score because he is really due a goal. We as Arsenal fans know he is a fabulous player and he is one of favourites amongst his team mates, so I am behind him 100 %.

that team will get beat. too much rubbish in it.
eboue has gone backwards and any team that plays denilson is bound to be a loser.
but never mind at least we are still in the carling cup

We beat Ipswich with Denilson playing the full 90 and Eboue playing the majority of the match after Sagna was taken off due to his injury… If you wont support the team piss off… This team is not our first 11, denilson isnt as good as song, chamack not as good as RVP etc etc, but if you dont rest the first 11 they will burn out and we will just lose more and more games
