Man Utd Plotting £92m Double Swoop As Reds Look To Overhaul Attacking Options

Manchester United are plotting a £92m double swoop for Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic as Jose Mourinho looks to overhaul his attacking options this summer

There is plenty of Manchester United-related gossip doing the rounds in the papers with the Red Devils linked with a whole host of star names. Today, United are linked with a big-money double swoop…

Manchester United are plotting a £92m double swoop for Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic as Jose Mourinho looks to overhaul his attacking options this summer, according to reports via the Daily Mail.

The United boss has already signed three new faces with third-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant, highly-rated right-back Diogo Dalot and exciting midfielder Fred all arriving in recent weeks but Mourinho knows he needs to further strengthen if they’re to compete with Man City.

With Anthony Martial being linked with a move away from Old Trafford and United lacking a spark in the final third at times last season, it looks like Mourinho is ready to overhaul his attacking options before the window closes.

The Daily Mail are citing a report from the Sun that claims United are lining-up a £92m double swoop for Perisic and Rebic following their heroics for Croatia at this summers World Cup finals.

Perisic has been a long-term target for Mourinho and the United boss praised the Inter Milan winger following his excellent performances in Russia that saw Croatia reach their first ever World Cup final.

TeamTalk reported over the weekend that United are in advanced talks with Inter over a possible deal to sign the 29-year-old and I think Perisic would be an excellent addition to their squad if the Red Devils could get something agreed.

Rebic has also emerged as a key target for United in recent weeks with the Mirror reporting that Mourinho was ready to launch a formal swoop to sign the £44m-rated Eintracht Frankfurt attacker.

The 24-year-old played a key role for Croatia at the World Cup and has attracted interest from all across Europe but it looks like United are hoping to lure him and his compatriot to Old Trafford.

Rebic has spent the last two years out on loan at Frankfurt from Fiorentina before making the move permanent this summer but United could now offer the Bundesliga outfit the chance to turn a quick profit by cashing-in on the winger.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming weeks but it would certainly be an exciting double swoop if United were able to sign Perisic and Rebic before the start of the new campaign as they look to close the gap on rivals Man City.
