Man Utd Determined To Sign World Class Star, Club Ready To Sell In £107m Deal

There is plenty of Manchester United-related gossip doing the rounds in the papers with the Red Devils linked with a whole host of star names. Today, United are desperate to sign Toni Kroos…

Manchester United are determined to sign Toni Kroos and Real Madrid have prepared to cash-in if £107m is put on the table this summer, according to reports in Spain via the Daily Star.

Jose Mourinho has been relatively quiet in the market so far this summer as Brazilian international Fred is the only significant addition to the squad with third-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant and young full-back Diogo Dalot United’s only other new signings this window.

However, Mourinho knows he needs to further strengthen if they’re to compete with Manchester City this season and the United boss has admitted he’d like to bring in two further signings before the new campaign begins on August 9th.

It looks like the Portuguese coach is keen to add to his midfield options even further as Kroos has been touted as a key target in recent weeks and the Daily Star claims United are determined to get a deal agreed for the German international.

The newspaper says United are willing to pay around £71m but cite a report from Don Balon that claims Madrid are ready to do business if £107m if put on the table, so the Red Devils are going to have to dig a little deeper.

We’ll have to wait and see whether United will be prepared to meet that asking price but Kroos would be a sensational signing if they could pull it off as he’s been one of the best midfielder’s in the world over the past few years.

The 28-year-old made his name at Bayern Munich but has enhanced his reputation since joining Madrid in 2014 and has helped the Spanish giants win a whole host of honours including 3 Champions League’s and the La Liga title.

Kroos could be the man to help get the best out of Paul Pogba and with Fred and Nemanja Matic also vying for starting spots, United would have some formidable midfield options if they could lure the German star to Old Trafford.
