Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has dropped a huge hint on Instagram that he’s heading for Manchester United amid reports of a £35m move to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho has admitted he’d like to bring in another two new signings before the transfer window closes after venting his frustration at the clubs lack of activity so far with midfielder Fred the only significant addition to the first team so far this summer.
A new centre-back is reportedly on the agenda as Eric Bailly fell out-of-favour during the second half of last season while Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof are being linked with moves away from Old Trafford after failing to hold down regular places.
Mina has emerged as a potential target with the Sun reporting over the weekend that Man Utd are ready to test Barcelona’s resolve with a £35m bid after opening preliminary talks with the La Liga champions.
Barca have already signed centre-back Clement Lenglet from Sevilla so are reportedly open to the idea of selling Mina as he’s struggled to settle following his £10.5m move from Palmeiras in January.
The Colombian international has now fuelled speculation he could be heading to Old Trafford after removing ‘Barcelona’ from his bio on Instagram while he also started to follow Manchester United, Paul Pogba and Antonio Valencia on the social media site.
Mina has endured a frustrating time at the Nou Camp having only made 2 starts since joining the club in the winter and he’s admitted he may need to leave in order to resurrect his career.
The 23-year-old showed what he’s capable of with some excellent displays at the World Cup and it seems those performances have convinced Man Utd to try and lure him to the Premier League this summer.

Only time will tell whether Mina’s activity on Instagram means anything but I think he’d be an excellent addition to the squad if United were able to get a deal agreed for his signature.
