Premier League football returns tonight as Manchester United kick-off the 2018/19 campaign by welcoming Leicester City to Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho has started Paul Pogba and given the World Cup winner the captains armband as he starts alongside Andreas Pereira and summer signing Fred – who makes his league debut.

Matteo Darmian starts at right-back in the absence of the injured Antonio Valencia while Luke Shaw gets a chance to impress at left-back with Victor Lindelof partnering Eric Bailly in the middle of defence.

Juan Mata starts in attack along with Alexis Sanchez as Marcus Rashford leads the line up front. Romelu Lukaku is fit enough for a place on the bench along with Marouane Fellaini and Ashley Young.

Anthony Martial is also among the substitutes after a turbulent summer that’s seen him strongly linked with a move away from the club.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Man Utd

De Gea, Darmian, Shaw, Bailly, Lindelof, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Sanchez, Mata, Rashford.

Subs: Grant, Smalling, Young, Fellaini, McTominay, Martial, Lukaku

Leicester

Schmeichel, Pereira, Maguire, Morgan, Chilwell, Gray, Amartey, Silva, Ndidi, Maddison, Iheanacho

Subs: Ward, Evans, Vardy, Albrighton, Iborra, Fuchs, Ghezzal
