[Confirmed Teams] Newcastle vs Tottenham: Kane & Alli Start For Spurs

Tottenham kick-off the new campaign with a trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United at lunchtime.

Mauricio Pochettino has decided to risk some of his England World Cup stars as Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier all start despite only recently returning to pre-season training. Hugo Lloris also starts in goal for the north Londoners while Jan Vertonghen lines-up in defence alongside Davinson Sanchez with Toby Alderweireld among the substitutes.

Ben Davies and Serge Aurier start in the full-back positions with Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose not in the squad while Moussa Sissoko gets a start in midfield with Mousa Dembele on the bench.

Lucas Moura gets a chance to impress in attack while Christian Eriksen also starts with Hueng-min Son among the subs.
