[Confirmed Teams] Arsenal vs Man City: Guendouzi & Mahrez Make Debuts

Arsenal kick off their 2018/19 campaign when they welcome defending champions Manchester City to the Emirates this afternoon. 

Unai Emery has made some surprise selections for his first competitive line-up as summer signing Matteo Guendouzi starts in midfield alongside Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka with Lucas Torreira only deemed fit enough for the bench.

Petr Cech starts in goal ahead of summer signing Bernd Leno while Ainsley Maitland-Niles starts at left-back with Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac ruled out.

Sokratis makes his debut in defence alongside Shkodran Mustafi while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line up front with Alexandre Lacazette named on the bench.

As for City, Kevin De Bruyne is only named on the bench with Ilkay Gundogan starting in midfield along with Fernandinho and Bernado Silva. John Stones and Kyle Walker lines-up in defence along with Benjamin Mendy.

Sergio Aguero starts up front with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez in support with Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane on the bench.
