Eden Hazard was one of four senior Chelsea players to be left behind after Maurizio Sarri flew-out to Greece with a 21-man squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash with PAOK.

The Blues left London this afternoon and have arrived in Thessaloniki to prepare for Thursday night’s Europa League group stage opener but it looks like Sarri has decided to rest a few of his key men for the game as Hazard wasn’t among the travelling party.

There have been no reports of an injury so the Belgian international is probably being rested ahead of Chelsea’s upcoming game against West Ham on Sunday while they also have a league and cup double-header coming up against Liverpool. David Luiz has also been left back in London to rest having cemented himself as a regular under Sarri this season.

Emerson Palmieri – who has struggled to hold down a first team place since arriving from Roma in January – has also been left out of the squad while Mateo Kovacic hasn’t travelled after picking up a knock during the win over Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.

Sarri is expected to rotate his side tomorrow night so we could see the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Victor Moses, Davide Zappacosta, Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen all feature against the Greek outfit.

Here is the 21-man squad that travelled to Greece today, as confirmed on Chelseafc.com:

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willy Caballero, Marcin Bulka, Toni Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, Cesc Fabregas, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, Pedro, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Victor Moses, Olivier Giroud, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Davide Zappacosta, Willian, Gary Cahill, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, Alvaro Morata, Ethan Ampadu.
