Arsenal eased to a 4-2 victory over Vorskla in the Europa League at the Emirates this evening with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil among the goalscorers.

We started slowly and struggled to find any fluency in our game during the opening thirty minutes but we finally put a decent move together and broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan won possession in the middle of the pitch before releasing Alex Iwobi who’s cross found Aubameyang and the Gabon international made no mistake with a first time finish in to the bottom corner.

We took control of the game after the break and doubled our lead in the 48th minute when Mkhitaryan found Danny Welbeck with a pin-point cross and the England international headed home for 2-0.

The three points were secured a few minutes later as Aubameyang grabbed his second of the game with the striker curling home a wonderful effort from the edge of the area to make it 3-0.

Mesut Ozil came off the bench to prod home a fourth in the 73rd minute but the visitors grabbed a consolation as Chesnakov lashed home a superb strike from the edge of the box.

Vorskla then scored at the death with another excellent effort from Vyacheslav Sharpar to make it 4-2 and give the impression it was a closer game than it was but it was Arsenal who won the three points.
