Liverpool will be looking to take control of Champions League Group C with a win when they take on Napoli at Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given Liverpoolfc.com the latest team news and injury update.

The Reds boss was pleased to confirm they have no fresh injury worries to contend with after the players came away unscathed following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Virgil van Dijk was passed fit shortly before the game at the weekend after recovering from a rib injury and the Dutch international is ‘fine’ according to Klopp ahead of the trip to Napoli.

Divock Origi could be pushing for a place in the match-day squad as the striker is now back in full training and in ‘outstanding’ shape after recovering from an ankle injury that’s hampered him this season.

Klopp told the clubs website:

“We had all the usual knocks, but everything is fine – and nothing more – so that’s good. We have 23 players with us to make sure nothing happens.”

“Virgil is fine,” said Klopp. “Divock has been back in full training. He is in outstandingly good shape, so that’s good news. But it’s quite difficult [competition] within the squad at the moment.”

It means Liverpool have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only significant absentee with the midfielder continuing to recover from a serious knee injury while Adam Lallana is also working his way back to full fitness from a groin strain.

The Reds flew out of John Lennon Airport on Tuesday heading to Naples and Liverpool confirmed their 23-man travelling party on the clubs official website this afternoon.

Fabinho will be hoping to force his way in to Klopp’s first team plans having made just one start since arriving from Monaco in the summer while Daniel Sturridge will also be in the manager’s thought’s after coming off the bench to score a stunning equaliser at Chelsea on Saturday.

Here is the confirmed squad:

Clyne, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Alisson, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Robertson, Origi, Solanke, Matip, Alexander-Arnold, Grabara.
