Arsenal will be hoping to extend their winning run to nine games in all competitions when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The club have issued a team news and injury update ahead of the game with the latest on the fitness of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Petr Cech, Dinos Mavropanos and Laurent Koscielny.

Let’s start with the good news and Aubameyang is back in contention to face Fulham after the Gabon international striker missed the Europa League victory over Qarabag on Thursday night due to sickness, so his return will be a big boost.

There is also positive news on Maitland-Niles as the versatile midfielder is set to resume full training during the second week of the international break as he looks to make his return from a fractured leg which he suffered during the season opener against Man City.

However, Maitland-Niles remains out this weekend and he’ll join Cech on the sidelines as the goalkeeper has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury that he picked up against Watford last weekend.

Mavropanos is also still on the sidelines with a groin injury that will keep him out until the end of October while Koscielny isn’t due to resume training until some time next month as he continues to work his way back from Achilles surgery.

The update on Arsenal.com read:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Now available for selection after missing the trip to Baku with illness.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Small fracture to left fibula. Expected to return to full training second week of forthcoming international period.

Petr Cech
Left hamstring injury. Expected to return to full training in 3-4 weeks.

Dinos Mavropanos
Groin injury. Expected to return to full training by the end of October.

Laurent Koscielny
Right Achilles tendon repair. Now working outside. Aiming to return to full training in November.

Unai Emery is expected to freshen things up on Sunday with Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Aubameyang among those pushing for recalls to the starting eleven.

Arsenal have won each of their last eight matches in all competitions so we can extend that winning run to nine games with another victory at Craven Cottage tomorrow which would keep the pressure on the top four.
