Alexis Sanchez scored a late winner as Manchester United came from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle United 3-2 at Old Trafford and ease the pressure on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders.

Newcastle made a sensational start to the game as they opened the scoring in the 7th minute with Kenedy firing home with a sweet left-footed strike in to the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

United were stunned as the visitors then doubled their lead just three minutes later with Yoshinori Muto lashing past David De Gea from close range to make it 0-2 in the tenth minute.

However, Mourinho mixed things up at half-time and United got themselves back in the game when Juan Mata curled home a stunning free-kick from the edge of the area to make it 1-2 in the 70th minute.

The hosts then levelled things up six minutes later as Anthony Martial combined beautifully with Paul Pogba in the area before the French attacker fired home from 10 yards to make it 2-2.

A dramatic comeback was complete when Alexis Sanchez came off the bench to head home a 90th minute winner to not only salvage a vital three points for United but also possibly save Mourinho his job.
