Arsenal have growing injury concerns with six players now on the treatment table ahead of their upcoming games with Blackpool and Liverpool.

The Gunners welcome Blackpool to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and the club have issued a full team news update including the latest on several of Unai Emery’s squad.

The Arsenal boss is facing a growing full-back crisis as Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac remain doubts for the visit of Blackpool tomorrow night having missed the last three matches with hamstring injuries.

Both Monreal and Kolasinac will be assessed ahead of the League Cup clash on Wednesday but I don’t see Emery rushing either player back, especially with Liverpool coming up on Saturday, so it will be interesting to see who starts at left-back against Blackpool.

Emery also has problems at right-back as Hector Bellerin has been ruled out of the Carabao Cup game and is a doubt to face Liverpool after suffering a thigh injury during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The north Londoners have also revealed a fresh injury blow with the news that Mohamed Elneny is facing two weeks on the sidelines after picking up a thigh problem. The Egyptian was expected to start against Blackpool but instead he’s now been ruled out until after the next international break.

Laurent Koscielny is edging closer to making a return to action after resuming full training this month but the centre-back is not available for selection just yet while Dinos Mavropanos isn’t due back until next month due to a groin injury.

An update on Arsenal.com read:

Nacho Monreal
Minor right hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Blackpool (h) on Wednesday, October 31.

Sead Kolasinac
Minor right hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Blackpool on Wednesday, October 31.

Hector Bellerin
Right thigh. Misses Blackpool (h), being assessed ahead of Liverpool (h) on Saturday, November 3.

Mo Elneny
Right thigh. Expected to return to full training in two weeks.

Laurent Koscielny
Right Achilles tendon repair. Currently being integrated back into full training.

Dinos Mavropanos
Groin injury. Expected to return to full training in November.

If none of the above players are passed fit then Arsenal would be without six players for the upcoming games with Blackpool and Liverpool, which would be a huge concern for Emery.

The Liverpool game in particular will be a worry as the Merseysiders have one of the best attacks in world football so Arsenal will be desperate for the likes of Bellerin, Monreal and Kolasinac to be available for selection this weekend.
