Tottenham booked the place in the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium this evening.

Spurs began brightly and opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Hueng-min Son broke the deadlock with a wonderful finish after the South Korean attacker was set-up by Dele Alli.

The pair combined again shortly after half-time as Alli released Son with a well weighted pass and the attacker burst forward, rounded Adrian before slotting home for 2-0 in the 54th minute.

West Ham reduced the deficit in the 71st minute as former Arsenal forward Lucas Perez headed home from a corner to make it 2-1 with 20 minutes left to play.

However, Tottenham wrapped-up the win just minutes later as Fernando Llorente – who had done very little throughout the game – finished well to make it 3-1 following some poor defending from West Ham.
