Tottenham moved back in to the top four after easing to a 3-1 victory over Southampton at Wembley this evening.

Tottenham started well and opened the scoring in the ninth minute as Harry Kane ghosted in at the near post to tap home from close range following a Christian Eriksen cross to make it 1-0.

Spurs doubled their advantage early in the second half as Lucas Moura fired home his fifth goal of the season in the 51st minute after his initial effort was blocked by the hand of Jack Stephens.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men maintained the pressure and they scored again just minutes later as Kane set-up Heung-min Son to make it 3-0 in the 55th minute.

Southampton grabbed a late consolation as Charlie Austin got in behind Dier to fire home for 3-1 but Tottenham secured all three points to move back up to third after both Chelsea and Arsenal dropped points tonight.
