By on December 8, 2018

This weekend’s heavy-weight clash sees Chelsea entertain Premier League leaders Manchester City at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Maurizio Sarri has recalled David Luiz in defence with Andreas Christensen dropping to the bench. Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso keep their places. Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic come in to the midfield with Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek making way.

Sarri has decided to leave Olivier Giroud on the bench despite Alvaro Morata not being in the squad so it looks like Eden Hazard is playing up front supported by Pedro and Willian.

Pep Guardiola recalls Aymeric Laporte in defence while Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez keep their places in attack as Raheem Sterling replaces Gabriel Jesus up front in the absence of the injured Sergio Aguero.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Subs: Fabregas, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Caballero, Giroud, Christensen, Emerson Palmieri

Man City
